Domestic Violence in the Age of COVID-19

The conditions created by the pandemic including increased family time at home, isolation from friends and familial networks, emotional and financial stressors, reduced access to courts and other service providers are the same conditions that allow domestic violence to thrive.

Join Mon County Assistant Prosecutor Gabrielle Mucciola and Joyce Yedlosky of the WV Coalition Against Domestic Violence, in this one hour webinar to learn more about:

Why the dynamics of intimate partner violence can make this crisis especially harmful or dangerous for some victims;

Overview of support systems available;

Tips for more safely communicating and safety planning with victim clients during stay at home periods;

Methods for accessing civil legal relief;

Challenges accessing civil legal relief;

and ways assist clients experiencing abuse.
